the life
A little piece of history and a whole lot of fun.
Where to begin? The hard facts: The property is a total of 13 Acres. The amenities include a grand main house with a large Master Suite with walk-in closet, a full bath, a large eat-in kitchen, two (2) bars, grand dining area, ample living room with an ideally located wood burning fireplace, a gameroom, a wood burning stove, work/utility room and office. With it's own private entrance from the wrap around porch, the John Wayne room is also part of the main house and features its own fireplace, seating area and full bath.
If we head out to the south of the property toward the pool, to our left we have the Guest House, a separate and distinct building on the property. The Guest House features an open floor plan, with vaulted exposed ceilings, built in closets, a full bath and full kitchenette.
Following the path to the north, we arrive at the Bunkhouse/Saloon, another separate and distinct building on the property. On the south side of this building, we have the Bunkhouse, which features a full kitchen and eating area, a wonderful bath featuring two showers and double sinks. A large open living area includes a wood burning stove and plenty of room in the two bedroom areas to accommodate more than six(6) people! On the north side of this building, we have the infamous Saloon, complete with a custom indoor/outdoor "watering hole", a full indoor bar and television area, skeeball, an antique piano, and you guessed it- more sleeping quarters. All piping is in place for an additional bath area to be incorporated into this part of the building as well.
As we walked along the sidewalk, you may have noticed the 14' high open air ramada, currently used as a work space for a Master Craftsman, but the area also doubles as a great outdoor entertaining space. Speaking of outdoor entertaining- this property offers so many options...the pool area includes not only the pool itself, but a spacious finished patio area shaded by a large mesquite tree and equipped with a built-in-barbeque and outdoor kitchen area. Back at the main house, at the southern most part of the wrap around porch, grab the groups and sit in front of the large hand crafted outdoor fireplace, cook on the built-in barbeque and grab a cold one from the outdoor built-in refrigerator. If you venture out to the southwest of the property, you will likely enter Tipi-Town, a distinct area featuring an authentic tipi; complete with electricity, finished flooring, a queen size bed and plenty of space for a sofa. The fire pit is just outside, with custom log benches and authentic over-the-fire cooking elements.
Whew. Don't know who has it better, the two-legged residents or the four-legged residents...with a 4500SF turnout, complete tack room, stables for plenty of horses, grazing and watering areas ideally located for livestock...our four-legged friends have everything they need and more here at the Baca Float Ranch.
Every aspect of this ranch has been developed, improved upon and maintained with a constant commitment to authenticity. Materials, methods and applications all pay tribute to the area, to the history and to the idealogy of what this historic place embodies. And now, it is all yours to enjoy.
